Blacklisting – accurate management of product procurement in KlarPris
KlarPris has a brand new feature: Blacklisting. Blacklisting allows you, as a business owner or administrator, to define and enforce which products should not be part of your procurement process.
You might experience that your company’s material procurement can be inconsistent and inefficient, which can lead to unwanted products being purchased. With the new Blacklisting feature in KlarPris, you can prevent this from happening. When a product is marked as blacklisted, it cannot be added to the shopping cart, ensuring that all purchases align with your company’s standards and purchasing policies.
This feature is ideal for those who want to:
- Gain structured control over material selection
- Eliminate unauthorized or inefficient purchases
- Ensure consistency in product quality and supplier selection
- Improve budget management through standardized purchasing
- Promote more more sustainable procurement
Here are some questions you might have about the new feature – and the answers to them:
Who has access to manage Blacklisting?
All users who have access to “assortment” feature can edit the list of blacklisted products.
Is the feature available to all units?
To add and manage Blacklisting, you need to access the feature in desktop. The blacklisted features will, of course, also feature on mobile.
Where do I find the feature?
You can manage the feature under Menu > Assortment in KlarPris
What type of account do I need to access Blacklisting?
The feature will be available for all account types.
Does the feature work with EAN or product number?
Both. If you upload a file, the system will use the product number. If the product also has an EAN number, it will automatically be blocked by that as well.
Can I allow certain employees to purchase a blacklisted product?
No. To enable purchase of a blacklisted item, it must be completely removed from the Blacklist. The feature does not currently support approvals or exceptions.
Blacklisting will be continuously developed to help you get even more out of the feature.
